Mikayla Rai, OTR/L
Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT)
With Triumph since: 2023
Mikayla, a recent graduate from the MSOT program at Howard University, is a dedicated Occupational Therapist with a strong passion for working with children. Her inspiration to pursue a career in occupational therapy stemmed from her mother, who is also an occupational therapist. Mikayla witnessed firsthand the impact her mother had on children’s lives and developed a deep desire to follow in her footsteps.
Born in Durban, South Africa, Mikayla immigrated to Virginia at a young age. After completing her undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech, she made the move to the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia) region in 2018. Mikayla’s commitment to helping children and families thrive led her to this vibrant and diverse area.
Believing in a strengths-based approach, Mikayla is passionate about equipping children with the necessary skills for the job of living. She recognizes and nurtures the unique abilities and potential within each child, empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve meaningful outcomes. As an OT, Mikayla brings a compassionate and dedicated mindset to her practice. Having completed her clinical practicum at Triumph Therapeutics, Mikayla is thrilled to return to the team.
