Karah began her academic journey at Radford University before earning her Master’s Degree at the University of the District of Columbia. A Virginia native, she discovered her passion for speech-language pathology through volunteer work, which fueled her dedication to helping children overcome communication challenges.
Karah is passionate about working with children of all ages, with a special focus on feeding and swallowing disorders, as well as communication difficulties resulting from congenital and acquired brain injuries. She has developed expertise in evidence-based interventions such as oral-motor therapy, sensory-based feeding approaches, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), expressive and receptive language therapy, and fluency strategies. Her clinical experience spans schools, outpatient settings, and skilled nursing facilities, where she refined her ability to deliver individualized treatment plans that maximize functional outcomes.
As Karah embarks on her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist, she remains committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care that empowers children and families to achieve their communication and feeding goals.
