Jasmine Thomas

Jasmine Thomas is an Occupational Therapy Assistant who obtained her associates in applied science at Northern Virginia Community College in the summer of 2018. She loves working with children to help them reach their full potential so they may live healthy and happy lives.

Jasmine has experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, Asperger’s syndrome, Cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and many other conditions. Jasmine believes in developing treatment interventions that include one or more of the following: basic sensory integration, tailored sensory diet(s), social-emotional learning techniques, and therapeutic listening. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and Virginia’s Occupational Therapy Association.

During her time at NOVA Jasmine founded their Student Government Association that continues to do philanthropic work throughout Northern Virginia while supporting and furthering the goal of diversity and equality. In her free time, Jasmine likes to read, attend live concerts, explore museums, and have long dinners with family and friends-provided they let her take many photos of the food first. Jasmine is most excited to make a lasting impact in the lives of the youth here in the DMV through Occupational Therapy and related initiatives.
