Physical Therapist

Dr. Laura Falcon PT, DPT, MPH was raised in Deerfield Beach, FL. She attended the University of Florida, where she was affiliated with various student-led organizations and performed volunteer work with the local pediatric hospital. Her passion for pediatrics was rooted in her volunteer work and growing up as a dancer eventually led her to discover her passion for physical therapy. In 2013, she received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology with a focus on Exercise Physiology and a Minor in Dance.

She is a dual graduate from The George Washington University, receiving her Master’s of Public Health degree in 2016 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2020. Dr. Falcon also received a certification in Early Intervention from Georgetown University in 2020. Currently, Dr. Falcon is a licensed Physical Therapist in the District of Columbia. She received extensive training in pediatrics from her clinical affiliations and continues to expand her knowledge through continuing education.

Dr. Falcon has treated pediatric patients of all ages in both an inpatient and outpatient setting at her previous clinical affiliation at Children’s National Hospital. Dr. Falcon utilizes an evidence- based, patient centered approach to treatment, with emphasis in using outcome-based assessments to track gross motor development and progression of therapeutic treatments. She recently completed her certification in Interactive Metronome, which utilizes computer technology to improve neural timing within the brain. Interactive Metronome can be a useful tool in children with developmental delays, neurological deficits and sensory integration disorders.

When she is not treating patients, you can find her exploring the city with her fiancé and her rescue dog Boomer. She is also a certified barre3 instructor at the 14th street studio in Washington, DC. Her favorite animal is dogs and she hopes to eventually have 5 rescue dogs! Her favorite color is pink, and her favorite food is pepperoni pizza.
